![]() ![]() It sounds so cool and I can’t wait to takes photos of my handsome little man with his proud smile. His teacher was explaining the photo area she was making for the big day. I love the little curling ribbon as a tassel. The craft is started with a piece of white paper with a red cap & gown glued on top. His teacher mentioned that all the crafts the kids go home with are cut by them. He would get so frustrated and give up right way. It was the one thing he struggled with before attending school. Again, I am so impressed with how much my son’s scissor skills have improved over the past months. ![]() I was so excited when she told me that they are going to wear little caps and gowns – how cute!!! This past week the kids made a graduation themed paper craft of themselves. The kids have been busy practicing for their graduation ceremony. Thanks for being such a wonderful teacher Mrs. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he gets his teacher for some of them – she is so great at her job and always has such fun crafts (& handprint crafts here) that it will be a race to get a spot before it fills up…. They are each one week long for 3 hours a day in different themes. We are very thankful for his enthusiasm towards learning and plan to have him do 4 of the 12 summer camps they have. He talks about them all the time and always wants to take things to school to show his teacher or can’t wait to tell her something. I am a bit sad that he may not be attending the same school as them for kindergarten and am hoping that at least one of them will be. Decorate the diploma with the graduation year.I can’t believe my son is graduating from preschool in a couple weeks – the time goes way too fast! He has been attending a class twice a week this past year and he adores his preschool friends and teacher. Tie the scroll with a thin gold ribbon and tassel made of yarn. Don't glue all the way to the edge of the paper as you want to give the illusion that it can unroll. Approximately two inches from the end of the paper, make another line of glue. Make a line of glue on a paper towel roll and wrap a sheet of white paper and wrap tightly around it. Use these cute miniature graduation caps as party favors or to hold small goodies. Make a yarn tassel and glue to the center of the cardboard square. Put a dab of glue in the center of the cardboard square and lay eggcup on top of the glue with the opening of the eggcup facing up. Let dry and then paint the other side of the cardboard square. Paint the eggcup and one side of the cardboard square (school colors if desired). Glue a plastic or paper bowl to poster board square instead of the headband strip.Ĭut an eggcup from an egg carton and a four-inch-by-four-inch piece of cardboard. Let children personalize their graduation cap with glitter, crayons and markers, and stickers. Attach the tassel to the hat with a brass fastener. Tie a piece of yarn around one end of the wrapped yarn, leaving a length of yarn. Make a tassel by winding yarn around a 6-inch piece of cardboard. Glue the hatband to the 8-inch-by-8-inch square cut out. Form the strip into a circle, adjust strip to fit child’s head, and staple or glue together. Cut a series of v-shapes along one edge of the length of the strip and then fold the strip in half. Let them make these crafts to help them feel even more special.Ĭut an 8-inch by 8-inch piece of poster board and a strip of poster board about two feet by three inches (long enough to fit around a child’s head). ![]() You are proud of the things that your children have accomplished and learned during the past year. ![]()
